Tippy Dam, Michigan - Indiana Bat Hibernaculum

Not where one would expect to find them, but Tippy Dam in Michigan is host to thousands of hibernating bats, including small numbers of the endangered Indiana bat.

Surveys of bats at Tippy Dam have been going on for over 2 decades with some surprising results.

One banded Indiana bat found in the dam was at least 11 years old. <br>
