Lewisburg Limestone Mine, Ohio - Indiana Bat Hibernaculum

This is the entrance to the abandoned Lewisburg Mine in Ohio, <br>home to Ohio's largest hibernating population <br>of Indiana bats.

Indiana bats hibernate in clusters on the mine ceiling. <br>

This tri-colored bat is one of many of species that hibernate in the mines.

Biologists found bats infected with white-nose syndrome in the mine. These are little brown bats.
