Habitat Day
March 13, 2010 - from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Our annual Habitat Day for Wood Ducks and Bluebirds at Crane Meadows National Wildlife Refuge will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Habitat Day is a multi-organizational event held to educate the public on what they can do on their property to benefit wildlife. The event brings residents of the local community to one location to talk with representatives from a variety of natural resource agencies and groups. Participants are provided the opportunity to construct a wood duck or bluebird next box to take home.
The event is made possible with monetary and volunteer assistance from over 30 partners. The pieces for the wood duck and bluebird boxes are cut prior to the event by woodworking classes at Little Falls High School and the Morrison County Sentence To Service Program. For more information call the refuge: 320-632-1575.
