Congressional Affairs

The Midwest Region's Congressional Affairs Program strives to promote effective communications and coordination between the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, elected officials at the federal- and state-level, and the full spectrum of government agencies and private organizations that influence natural resource conservation in the region.

Recognizing the influential role that Congress plays in shaping natural resource policy in the Midwest Region and across the nation, the region's Congressional Affairs Liaison works closely with Members of Congress and their staff to provide timely information on the agency's conservation priorities, emerging environmental issues, media and public events, and other Service activities.
