Trades and Craftsmen

People in trades and crafts (Laborers, Mechanics, Tractor Operators, and Heavy Equipment Operators), help keep the Service operating. Some fish hatcheries have animal caretakers who feed and help rear the fish and almost every wildlife refuge has maintenance workers or mechanics doing everything from creating trails to building impoundments. These occupations are key to the successful operation of National Wildlife Refuges and Hatcheries alike.
