Want to Volunteer
for a Wild Experience?

Volunteers play a vital role in the management of our nation's fish and wildlife. You can enjoy a productive and rewarding experience as a volunteer with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Each year over 23,000 people of all ages donate more than 1 million hours of service, helping us care for our nation's fish and wildlife, and their habitats.

Volunteers help us in almost everything we do, from monitoring bird populations, to leading school groups on a refuge; from clearing trails to stocking fish; from helping in the office to repairing equipment. If you have a desire to help, we need you!

Each U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service office recruits and trains its volunteers. The best way to find out about volunteer opportunities is to log onto http://volunteer.gov/gov, the portal for volunteer opportunities in the public sector. You may also contact your local U.S. Fish and Wildlife Office. Get those names and addresses from the state maps.

For more information about volunteering, contact the Volunteer Coordinator Donna Stanek
