The St. Croix WMD Manages 42 WPAs

Wildlife comes first on all lands within the National Wildlife Refuge System. Human activities must be compatible with the needs of wildlife. Six uses are encouraged when appropriate: hunting, fishing, wildlife observation, photography, environmental education and interpretation.

These recreational opportunities are available on 42 Waterfowl Production Areas (WPA). All WPAs are open to the public except for those that are posted "closed."

All uses are subject to Federal and State laws, especially hunting and trapping. See the Waterfowl Production Area Regulations for the Rules and Regulations.

Maps for the St. Croix WMD WPAs are available in .pdf format on this web site.
