Partners for Fish and Wildlife
Partners for Fish and Wildlife is a national U.S. Fish and Wildlife program that works with private landowners and other organizations to protect, enhance and restore important fish and wildlife habitats on private lands.
Rock Island Field Office staff (Joe Slater, left, and Heidi Woeber, right, pictured here) organized a tree-planting event with Living Lands and Waters and John Deere U.S. Staffing and Recruiting staff. Living Lands and Waters, a non-profit, is best known for organizing large river clean-ups across the United States. The corporate tree-planting event took place on property owned by John Deere along the Rock River in Moline, Illinois. The event meets one of the goals outlined and included in the John Deere Property Restoration and Wildlife Habitat Improvement Plan. Approximately 70 John Deere summer interns rolled up their sleeves to plant trees in the pouring rain. USFWS photographs.
