State of the Birds: Informing Conservationists on the health of our Midwest Birds
2010's State of the Birds Report on Climate Change was our nation's first comprehensive assessment of the vulnerability of nearly 800 bird species to climate change. The report shows that climate change will have an increasingly disruptive effect on bird species in all habitats. The next State of the Birds Report will be published this spring, and identify the importance of conservation on private lands to the health of our birds. Talk to a bird biologist with the Service's Migratory Birds program to learn how the State of the Birds is helping conservationists in the Midwest Region.
