Visitor Center Hours:
6 days a week, 7:30am - 4:00pm, Closed Sundays.

Closed December 24-26, 31 and January 1-2, 2012 to observe federal holidays.

Visitor Center trails and the refuge are open sunrise to sunset.
After-hours bathrooms are available on the southwest end of the visitor center.

Get Involved!

Necedah National Wildlife Refuge provides a variety of opportunities for the public to get involved at the refuge. One way is to volunteer. People can volunteer in two ways: join the Friends of Necedah National Wildlife Refuge or become a volunteer with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Artist-in-Resident
Open to all American artists to experience and translate through their craft the history and / or beauty of the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge.

Four-Hour Sampler
This is a four-hour non-commitment volunteer opportunity.

General Volunteer Opportunities
Activities may include botany, construction/maintenance, education, research, office/clerical, trail maintenance, tour guide, visitor information, and or general assistance.

Volunteering in the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service
