Visitor Center Hours:
6 days a week, 7:30am - 4:00pm, Closed Sundays.

Closed December 24-26, 31 and January 1-2, 2012 to observe federal holidays.

Visitor Center trails and the refuge are open sunrise to sunset.
After-hours bathrooms are available on the southwest end of the visitor center.

All events are open to all visitors. Some activities require pre-registration. All events and activities are subject to change. Contact the Refuge at 608-565-2551 or necedah@fws.gov for more information.

January: 

.....Friday, January 27: Snowshoe Birding
.................4:00 - 7:00 pm: Naturalist led snowshowing and birding hike (all skill levels welcome).
                                                                     
.....Saturday, January 28: Story Time Snowshoe
.................2:00 - 5:00 pm: Fireplace tales and snowshoe hike. (all skill levels welcome).

February:

.....Saturday, February 11: Sweetheart Snowshoe
.................7:00 pm: Snowshoe with your Valentine. Naturalist led and optional poetry reading.
.................Program may last for two hours.    
                                                        
.....Saturday, February 25: Cabin Fever
.................9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Indoor and outdoor activities to beat the winter blues.

.....Friday, March 9: Owl Prowl
.................7:00 - 9:00 pm: Great horned and barred owls are out and active. Take a stroll on this guided walk.

.....Friday, March 30: Junior Duck Stamp Contest Judging
.................8:00 am: Watch as a panel of judges selects Wisconsin’s “Best of Show” which goes on to
.................compete in the national contest.  Judging begins at 8:30am in the Visitor Center. To learn

All events are supported by the Friends of Necedah National Wildlife Refuge, Inc. The Friends group is a non-profit organization whose mission is "to support and enhance the Refuge and the surrounding environment".
