Proposed Improvements at the McMiller Shooting Facility

(near Eagle, Waukesha County, Wisconsin)

The final Environmental Assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) are available for public information on the renovations at the McMiller Shooting Facility.  The Preferred Alternative as presented in the final EA was selected on November 11, 2001 as documented in the FONSI.  This project is proposed by the Wisconsin DNR for funding under the Wildlife Restoration Act which is administered by the Service.   Improvements made under the selected alternative will include the renovation of the fixed range facility, improved safety measures, noise attenuation measures, and general facility maintenance activities.   Improvements will be done on a phased approach over the next eight years, depending upon funding availability.  Provided below is a copy of the final EA and a copy of the signed FONSI.
