Scout Programs

Boy & Girl Scout Programs & Opportunities

There are several options for you as a scout leader to bring your scouts to Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge.

Visiting the National Wildlife Visitor Center
If you and your scouts are interested in working on accomplishing badge criteria, a copy of "Program Links" can be picked up or mailed prior to their visit. Program Links is a publication that describes how you can utilize the exhibits and trails throughout the Refuge to help your scouts meet some of the nature related badge requirements.

Periodically, the refuge offers staff-led workshops for Junior Girl Scouts and Webelos that focus on specific badges. Workshops will be listed on the Refuge website. If you have further questions, please contact Visitor Services at 952/854-5900.

Conservation work projects
Group conservation work projects are coordinated by the Volunteer Coordinator. You should contact them at 952/858-0724 to inquire about possible projects.
