Fishing for Fun!
Backpacks |
|
Children will have so much fun crawling through grass, turning over rocks, and splashing in streams that they won’t even want to go in the house and turn on the television.

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service &
Friends members (FUMFS) assemble and maintain the backpacks. They are donated to libraries/schools. |
Backpacks have an aquatic theme with hands-on activities relating to fishing, freshwater mussels, aquatic invertebrates, and just spending time near waterbodies!
They can be checked out from a library like books!

We must foster a connection to nature so children understand the need to conserve, protect, & enhance our natural resources.
Fishing for Fun backpacks can help children not only make this connection with nature, but also increase family time & healthy habits.
