Jan Beitlich

Administrative Technician

I began my career with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in 1978, coming from a position with the La Crosse County Welfare Department as a financial aide for AFDC (Aid for Dependent Children).

I have held positions as an Administrative Technician with field stations for Columbia Field Station and Laboratory, a Jamestown ND station headed by Dr. Carl Korschgen, and the La Crosse District Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge.

In September of 1984 I transferred into my current Admnistrative Technician position with the Fish Disease Control Center which is now called The La Crosse Fish Health Center.

I was born and raised in the La Crosse area. My passion is creating stained glass art and I enjoy summers on the river and the beauty of the bluffs.
