Bald Eagle
On August 9, 2007, the bald eagle was removed from the federal list of threatened and endangered species. The bald eagle continues to be protected under the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act. Regulations provided under that Act allow the Service to issue permits for activities that may harm or disturb bald eagles and their nests. Below is a link to information about those permits and a link to information about Bald Eagles.
