Appendix D
Inclusion of Tributaries to the
Lower Fox River/Green Bay/Northern Lake Michigan System

The analysis in this report includes all of the tributaries to the Lower Fox River/Green Bay/northern Lake Michigan system, especially the major contributors to the fishery, such as the Menominee, Peshtigo, Oconto, Suamico and Little Suamico Rivers and the Duck Creek.

In particular, the discussion on Wisconsin fish consumption advisories in Chapter 3 applies to the tributaries to the Lower Fox River/Green Bay/northern Lake Michigan system. Beginning in 1984, the Wisconsin DNR included the tributaries to Green Bay in its fish consumption advisories regarding fish in Lake Michigan and Green Bay. The inclusion of the tributaries should be reflected in the 1984 entry in Chapter 3, Table 3-1.

In addition, the assessment area identified in Section 1.1 of the report includes the tributaries that are important to the recreational, subsistence and Native American fishermen.
