Project Objectives:

Continue ongoing development and refinement of methods for the propagation and laboratory culture of freshwater mussel species, including federally endangered species.
Investigate growth and survival of caged, propagated juvenile mussels at selected sites in order to assess suitability of those sites for population restoration.
Continue to propagate, grow out, release, and subsequently monitor, federally endangered and candidate species at selected sites in Missouri.
