Youth Wildlife Photography Workshop
Saturday, May 10, 2008
9 am to Noon
Knights of Columbus Hall, Trenton
This event includes a wildlife slideshow by a professional photographer, guided hike through Humbug Marsh, live Raptor show and picnic lunch. Each registered student will receive a disposable camera to use in the workshop. All disposable cameras will be collected after the workshop; a CD of developed pictures will be mailed within two weeks of the event back to each student. Photos will be used by the International Wildlife Refuge Alliance to produce a Calendar and Note Cards. Registration is required, please contact Lisa Appel @ (734) 692-7671 or lisa_appel@yahoo.com for a registration flyer. Cost - $7.00 per child, one chaperone per child permitted.

Refuge River Run
Friday Night, June 13, 2008
Join the Friends of the Detroit River and the Alliance for a fun run through the streets of downtown Trenton and Elizabeth Park. The 1-mile walk begins at 7:30 pm and the 8 K run begins at 8 pm in downtown Trenton (formerly known as the Zanglin Downriver Run.) Pick up an entry form at Total Runner in Southgate, or download one off of the Friends of the Detroit River website - www.detroitriver.org
