FISHING

** Due to the past use-history of the property as an ordnance testing facility, all visitors must view a safety video annually and sign an Acknowledgement of Danger form prior to entering the refuge. **

All Refuge Public Use is subject to Refuge Rules & Regulations and regulations within 50 CFR as well as state regulations.

Fish surveys are conducted periodically to determine the composition of the lake fishery and as a guide in regulating fishing.  The last survey was conducted in 2001 and the report can be found here.

Fishing is allowed only on the 165-acre Old Timbers Lake located within the public use area of the refuge. (MAP)
