Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge

Participants in Outdoor Women at Big Oaks should dress appropriately for weather conditions (raingear, etc.) Sturdy shoes and long pants are recommended. You may want to bring a change of socks or shoes and writing utensils for notes. If you are participating in any of the following courses you may want to bring:

*Backyards for Wildlife - a survey or photo of your property so instructor can answer questions specific to your property.

*Sporting Clays Shooting – ear plugs and eye protection.

*Birdwatching – binoculars, field guides

*Orienteering with Map and Compass - compass

*Photography- camera

*Biking Big Oaks- your own bike (bikes will also be provided)

*Life in a creek- rubber boots or sturdy creek shoes/sandals
