Calf history

• 1997 - Tested positive for pregnancy in March. On June 1 she was spotted from the air with twin calves. She was observed with both calves through January 12, 1998. On January 24 only one calf was seen with her. On April 29, neither calf was seen with D0982. The calf that disappeared in January likely died. The calf that disappeared in April, however, was spotted again with the cow in late May.
  
  
• 1998 - Droppings (feces) were collected on February 22. These were tested and D0982 was found not to be pregnant.
  
  
• 1999 - Tested positive for pregnancy (using fecal/dropping samples). On May 14 she was seen with one calf during an aerial survey. The cow and calf were in a small stand of tamarack trees. Both the cow and calf were seen together again on June 3.
  
  
• 2000 - No calf. D0982 was not tested for pregnancy, but she was never seen with a calf during the spring flights. She did still have her calf that was born in 1999 with her however.
