On Easter morning, the Joint Venture, an US Army "state of the art" military vessel stopped at Midway to refuel.
They only took on 5,000 gallons of JP-5 fuel - just enough to top off their tanks in order to make it to Honolulu.
This new vessel will be homeported at Ford Island in Pearl Harbor. Joint Venture has a cruising speed of 40 knots.

They donated several gallons of ice cream to island residents and left as heroes.
