Ammo Hut: At one time, these historic structures numbered six, now there are three. They were made by pouring a concrete floor, erecting an Armco Quonset hut atop the concrete, and covering the structure with sand. Through a Save American Treasures grant, the Fish and Wildlife Service was able to restore the front entrance panels on one of the huts. (Before and after photos - credit USFWS.)
