SHUTTLE LAUNCH CLOSURE INFORMATION

Merritt Island NWR closes to the public 24 hours prior to a scheduled shuttle launch at the following entry points: SR 406 just east of the Max Brewer Causeway from Titusville and on SR 3 approximately 1 mile south of Haulover Canal. The Refuge closes to entering traffic approximately one hour prior to a shuttle landing and reopens shortly after the landing.

Canaveral National Seashore's Playalinda Beach closes three days prior and the day of a scheduled launch. You can contact Canaveral National Seashore for more closure information at 321-867-4077.
