2009/2010 Hunting Brochure Attention Hunters! SR3 will be closed at Haulover Canal on November 21, 2009 from 5:30 am to 5:30 pm. This is the first day of hunting season. Waterfowl hunting is permitted in four designated “hunt areas” three days per week during the state waterfowl season. A refuge Hunt Permit is required in all areas and is attached to the hunting regulations.(Click here to view the current regulations). Hunting 2009/2010 In addition, a quota hunt permit is required to hunt in Area 1 and Area 4 during the months of November and December. The quota hunt permit is issued by the State of Florida through the Total Licensing System and can be purchased online at https://www4.wildlifelicense.com/fl/start.php
