Remineralization in action is depicted by amphipods consuming a dead coho salmon. It was taken at the mouth of the Buskin River, Chiniak Bay, Kodiak in ~10 meters of water. No portion of this salmon was visible, only millions of scavenging amphipods taking the form of a salmon.
