Hunting of big game, small game, and waterfowl is permitted during designated seasons. White-tail deer, Osceola turkeys, and feral hogs are the most sought-after species. Hunting license and state required stamps (not WMA stamps) are required in accordance with State regulations. The Refuge Hunter Working Group Meeting is held annually on the first Saturday in May, at 10:00 AM in the Refuge headquarters off of highway 347, a mile south of Fowler's Bluff and 19 miles north of Cedar Key. For more information, call the Ranger at 352/493-0238.
