Spring Chinook Salmon Fishing on Icicle Creek

Photo of Icicle Creek Downstream from Hatchery Fish Ladder

The general salmon fishing regulations include a daily bag limit of two salmon, with a minimum size of 12"; anglers can fish from 500 feet downstream of the Leavenworth hatchery rack to 400 feet above the mouth of the Icicle; fishing hours are from one hour before sunrise until one hour after sunset; and non-buoyant lure restriction. Click here for current weather conditions.

Each year, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife determines the fishing season dates and regulations for Icicle Creek spring Chinook salmon. Fishing rules are subject to change. Check the WDFW Fishing hotline for the latest rule information at (360) 902-2500, press 2 for recreational rules. Also, check with the state fishing pamphlet for other open fishing areas in Icicle Creek above the hatchery.

Please respect private property, remove all garbage, and help us protect the vegetation along the streambank where you fish. Public access is located on the northern piece of the Leavenworth hatchery property, just off East Leavenworth Road.

We hope you enjoy a fun fishing experience. Thank you for caring for our land!
