September and October

Migratory birds begin to arrive at the Refuge in September with blue-winged teal being spotted mid-September.

 

 

Hunting

Hunting season at the Refuge begins with:

Archery I	September 22 through September 30, 2012
Archery II	October 6 through October 14, 2012
Primitive Gun I	October 24 through October 29, 2012
Primitive Gun II	November 3 until November 5, 2012

For further information about hunting at the Refuge select Hunting from the menu selections. Although hunting season is open, many areas of the Refuge are still open for other types of outdoor recreation.
