Current Status: The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is developing a Comprehensive Conservation Plan (CCP) and associated NEPA documents for Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge (NWR). An overview of the CCP process is provided in Planning Update 1 Public scoping began in late 2006, and a public meeting was held at the Volusia County Agricultural Center on September 7, 2006. In addition to the public scoping, the refuge performed an environmental assessment (EA) to develop and analyze management alternatives associated with development of the CCP. Information concerning the EA can be found in Planning Update 3. The Draft CCP/EA is available for public comment (for details see Planning Update 4 posted to the left).
