Kulm Wetland Management District - Kulm, North Dakota

District Programs

The Kulm Wetland Management District currently manages 200 Waterfowl Production Areas and one Wildlife Development Area for a total of 45,683 acres. Waterfowl Production Areas are open to hunting, fishing and trapping. These areas also provide opportunities for wildlife viewing, photography and environmental education.

Numerous acres of wetland and grassland easements are monitored by the District staff. Bone Hill, Dakota Lake and Maple River National Wildlife Refuges are also administered from the Kulm office.

Another District program, Partners for Fish and Wildlife, provides financial incentives and technical assistance for landowners to restore, enhance, and conserve wildlife habitat on private land.
