  The United States Fish and Wildlife Service is an agency of the Department of the Interior. Its mission is working with others to conserve, protect and enhance fish, wildlife and plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people.

• U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Mountain-Prairie Region

  This U.S. Fish and Wildlife Region's nickname aptly describes the two most prominent physical features of the eight-state area. • The National Wetlands Inventory

  The National Wetlands Inventory (NWI) of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service produces information on the characteristics, extent, and status of wetlands and deepwater habitats. In addition, they provide wetland maps, status maps, interactive mapping tools, digital wetland data, digital map downloads, status and trends reports, wetland publications, and plants and hydric soils lists.

• Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center

  Information for wildlife managers, scientists, and the public on natural resource issues and biota of the North American Great Plains.

  Ducks Unlimited, Inc. is an international non-profit wetlands, waterfowl, and wildlife conservation organization.

• Delta Waterfowl

  Delta Waterfowl's mission is to contribute knowledge, trained people and solutions towards the goal of a sustainable North American waterfowl population for the use and enjoyment of future generations.

• North Dakota Chapter of the Wildlife Society

  The chapter is specifically concerned with approaches to effective management of North Dakota's plant and animal communities. The Chapter provides expertise in advising legislative and judicial processes surrounding the controversial management of many natural resource assets. It advocates the holistic treatment of environmental questions.

• Audubon Society, North Dakota Chapter

  Audubon is dedicated to protecting birds and other wildlife and the habitat that supports them. Their national network of community-based Audubon nature centers and chapters, environmental education programs, and advocacy on behalf of areas sustaining important bird populations engage millions of people of all ages and backgrounds in positive conservation experiences.

• The Nature Conservancy

  An environmental organization working towards nature conservation and wildlife preservation. Our work also involves helping conservation groups, endangered species, tropical rain forest conservation and maintaining biodiversity in wildlife habitats.

• Pheasants Forever

  Pheasants Forever is dedicated to the protection and enhancement of pheasant and other wildlife populations in North America through habitat improvement, land management, public awareness, and education.

• North Dakota Birding Society

  The purpose of the NDBS is: 1) Promote the study of birds in North Dakota. 2) Stimulate public interest in birds. 3) Foster the preservation of birdlife and its natural habitat.
