February 23, 2007 - Refuge firefighter profiled in hometown newspaper

Refuge firefighter Kyle Ellis was recently featured in the Pleasanton, Kansas, Linn County News. Ellis, a senior firefighter with the Klamath Basin NWR Complex, joined the refuge fire crew as a seasonal employee in March, 2006, and accepted a full time position in October of the same year. A Pleasanton, Kansas, native, Kyle worked with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Kansas and Arizona prior to his arrival in Basin.
