	Visiting Kakahai‘a National Wildlife Refuge The refuge is not open to the public; however, group visits may be available under a Special Use Permit - contact the Maui office at (808) 875-1582 for more information. Picnicking and offshore fishing are available at the refuge's coastal park adjacent to Kamehameha V Highway (Hwy. 450).
