Priority Needs List and Tools Matrix

a. Map Sites for Each Country
- Alliance for Zero Extinction, a project involving 16 NGOs, covers all terrestrial taxa, but emphasizes birds which occur at single sites and are listed on the IUCN RedList as Critically Endangered or Endangered. A preliminary list includes about 90 AZE sites for birds in this Hemisphere, with concentrations in Mexico, the Caribbean, northern and central Andes, and the Atlantic forest of Brazil. Each site has been mapped and is being analyzed for status, threats, and needs.
