Applying for a Grant

Submission Deadline: This program has two annual deadlines.  The first deadline is October 1 each year.  We strongly encourage applicants with nesting season projects beginning April/May to submit proposals on or before the October 1 deadline.  The second deadline is April 1 each year.  We strongly encourage applicants with nesting season projects beginning September/October to submit proposals on or before the April 1 deadline.

Eligibility Restrictions: U.S. Government-wide policy requires that all applicant organizations and individuals, both domestic and non-domestic, apply for, and include a Dun & Bradstreet Data Universal Number System (DUNS) number on their proposal.  Applicants without a DUNS number should go to http://fedgov.dnb.com/webform/pages/CCRSearch.jsp.

Program Guidelines: All applicants should read the Assistance Award Guidelines applicable to all grants made under this Program.
