Refuge Friends Group

Nationwide there are over 250 “Friends Groups” whose mission is to support the goals and purpose of their local national wildlife refuge. Visit the National Wildlife Refuge Association to find a friends group near you.

Friends of California Condors Wild and Free

The Friends of California Condors Wild and Free supports refuges associated with the California Condor Recovery Program (e.g., Hopper Mountain and Bitter Creek). The group meets once a month to discuss activities. The meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month at the Hopper Mountain National Wildlife Refuge Complex office located at 2493 Portola Rd., Suite A, Ventura, CA. If you would like to attend events or be part of the group, please email condorfriends@yahoogroups.com or show up to a monthly meeting.

Dunes Center
