Hurricane Sandy snows in West Virginia
As The Weather Channel reports that Hurricane Sandy has dumped up to three feet of snow in areas of West Virginia, the Service’s West Virginia Field Office in Elkins and Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge in Davis have reported that they have seen more than a foot of snow. Both offices are without power, and all roads at the refuge are closed. Staff continue to assess the situation.
