Question: One of the questions from our younger audiences might interested in is how did you get involved in polar bear research? It sounds like such a cool job.
Answer (Scott Schliebe): Well, it goes back to my youth. Mainly I become involved in wildlife and wildlife conservation because I had an interest in the outdoors. An interest in hunting and fishing. At a relatively early age, when I was in eighth grade, I was asked to develop a career plan. Two different careers, and go out and find support materials and explain why I wanted to pick each of those careers. And one of those careers was wildlife conservation . I think it was a matter of good fortune and perserverance and continuing education that led me in this path.
