Waterfowl hunters "get HIP!"  HIP stands for Harvest Information Program, and the information you provide to biologists through this program is critical to game bird conservation and protection of the hunting heritage.

When you buy your hunting license, be sure the license vendor asks you a few short questions about your bird hunting last season.  These questions are part of the HIP certification process-if they don't ask you these questions, you cannot be properly certified.

"Get HIP."  It the law and it's the right thing to do.

Waterfowl hunters "get HIP!"  If you hunt waterfowl or any other migratory birds in the United States, you must be HIP-certified.

"HIP" stands for Harvest Information Program, a program in which hunters provide information that helps biologists manage North America's incredible migratory gamebird populations.  

When you buy your hunting license, be sure the license vendor asks you a few short questions about the number of birds you harvested last season.  These questions are part of the HIP certification process-if the vendor doesn't ask you these questions, you cannot be properly certified.

HIP certification is required by law for anyone who hunts migratory birds in the U.S.  If you hunt waterfowl or other migratory birds without being certified, you can be ticketed and fined.
