Barn OwlThe Final Hanford Reach National Monument Comprehensive Conservation Plan and Environmental Impact Statement is now available. The Record of Decision was signed on September 24, 2008, by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Regional Director. Alternative C-1 was chosen as the Preferred Alternative.

Plans/documents recently released for public review are the Draft Environmental Assessment for a new office building at Conboy Lake (comment period closed July 7, 2008), the Draft Hanford Reach National Monument Sport Hunting Plan and Environmental Assessment (comment period closed May 8, 2007), the the Final Hanford Reach National Monument Sport Hunting Plan and Environmental Assessment (signed May 14, 2007), and the Draft Comprehensive Conservation Plan and Environmental Impact Statement (comment period closed March 10, 2007). Each of these documents can still be downloaded; however, the FWS is no longer accepting public comments.
