About Us...
Friends of Northwest Hatcheries is a non-profit group of volunteers dedicated to supporting, providing for and enhancing natural resource education and interpretation.

The goals of Friends are to foster the education, especially of young people, in the conservation and continuing stewardship of our fish and wildlife resources and their habitat. We do this through actively supporting such activities as the Wenatchee River Salmon Festival, natural resource scholarships, seminars and lectures, operating the Spawn Shop and the Spawn Shop II (gift stores at Leavenworth, Dworshak, and Spring Creek National Fish Hatcheries filled with unique fish and wildlife gifts and educational materials).

Friends
works in conjunction with the Leavenworth Complex Information and Education Department, Spring Creek National Fish Hatchery, and Carson National Fish Hatchery in Washington and the Dworshak National Fish Hatchery Complex, and Hagerman National Fish Hatchery in Idaho. Through financial support and volunteers, Friends supports a variety of activities for the public in communities in Washington and Idaho.

You, too, can become a member and play a role in helping people understand the complexities of salmon restoration and conservation. For more information, please contact the Friends by email, or write:
