Project Description: This project was a survey of culverts and other structures on state and borough roads on the Kenai Peninsula, one of Alaska's most popular tourist and sport-fishing regions. This survey complemented a recently completed survey of logging roads on the Peninsula that found numerous instances where perched, improperly sized, or otherwise damaged culverts, were impeding fish passage to hundreds of miles of spawning and rearing habitats. Trout Unlimited also provided funds for project implementation.
