Project Description, Outcome and Benefits:

Elk Springs Creek is located in Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge. The project retrofitted a culvert to facilitate movement of spawning lacustrine Arctic graying upstream to suitable spawning areas. This project opened up 12 acres and 1.5 miles of spawning and rearing habitat. Evaluation and monitoring will be accomplished by direct observation and enumeration of spawning Arctic grayling in Elk Springs Creek.
