Participants who have attended one of the 20-day sessions or one of the week-long workshops come from federal agencies (BIA, BLM, DOD, NPS, US Fish & Wildlife Service, and US Forest Service); state agencies; conservation organizations; community fire departments; private contractors; and international agencies.
Through 2012, US participants hail from 48 States + Puerto Rico and Washington, DC: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. International attendees have participated from: Australia, Belize, Canada, Germany, Ghana, Dominican Republic, France, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Namibia, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Sweden and Trinidad.
