A point system composed of the following criteria was used to prioritize rehabilitation funding for Fiscal Year 2010:

	1. Action is necessary to protect or enhance habitat for federally or tribally listed T&E or candidate species.
	2. Action is necessary to protect municipal or tribal community watersheds.
	3. Action involves planting tribal commercial forest where the land will not naturally regenerate to the desired species within ten years.
	4. Action is designed to repair or improve lands that were damaged directly by wildland fire or to repair or replace a minor facility.
	5. Action is contracted, including 638 tribal contracts.
	6. Action leverages federal funding to achieve management objectives or provides a net benefit to the government because it is a cooperative project.
	7. Action is a continuation of an earlier project.
