Print Friendly Version

Chesapeake Bay Field Office Environmental Contaminants biologists Sherry Krest, Fred Pinkney, Chris Guy and Peter McGowan participated in the 21st Century Classroom Conference held at the Baltimore Convention Center in November 2010.  The biologists, located at a remote off site location, were asked a number of questions from students about contaminants in the Chesapeake Bay via live video broadcast.  The students also asked questions about the potential harmful effects of a number of household products on the Chesapeake Bay ecosystem. The conference was one-of-a-kind learning environment featuring the latest technologies, with video connections to classrooms across the country and around the world.
