Chesapeake Bay Field Office partnered with the USDA APHIS Maryland State Office to demonstrate effective and safe use of rocket nets, cannon nets, and compressed air propelled nets for capturing birds. This effort was coordinated in support of  the Service's effort to develop a national Fish and Wildlife Service policy and protocol for safely deploying rocket nets, cannon nets and air propelled canon nets. The effort was coordinated through the Northeast Region's safety office.
