Geographic Analysis to Benefit Endangered Delmarva Fox Squirrel

Link to Northeast Region, USFWS; map of regionAt the request of the Delmarva Fox Squirrel Recovery Team, Delaware Bay Estuary Project, in partnership with the Service's Chesapeake Bay Field Office, has undertaken a geographic information systems analysis for recovery planning for this endangered squirrel. Entitled "Assessing Habitat Connectivity On the Delmarva Peninsula," the work will provide additional insight into the recovery team's population viability assessment and eventually help to determine whether downlisting for this species is justified.
